然而在物質(zhì)文明高度發(fā)達(dá)的現(xiàn)代社會(huì)，人與人之間的寬容與博愛卻在逐漸地流失。在錯(cuò)誤面前，人們津津樂道于法律的嚴(yán)懲，卻不屑于人性的'寬容;人們過分地追求名利，卻將博愛拋到腦后;人們常常為蠅頭小利而爭(zhēng)得面紅耳赤，吵得不可開交;人們經(jīng)常為一己私利而大打出手，甚至不惜發(fā)動(dòng)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)……相比雨果筆下的主教克利，人們難道不應(yīng)該感到羞愧嗎?
